Bear Pen and Ink Drawings Hello everyone! Having a good week? Since the middle of August, I've been on bear kick. ♡ 😁 I tried sketching a few and they were completely wonky, so I turned my attention to bear studies for my Draw 180 Art Challenge. Some of these are Black Bear but most are Grizzly Bears. I've drawn only in Bic Cristal or Bic Bold ball point pen, so you get to see mistakes and all! 😉

Kitty & the Dragonfly - Colored Pencil and Watercolor Illustration

Hello my fellow creatives - haaaapppppy Friiiiiday! 😁 Introducing: Kitty & the Dragonfly  I'm trying to awaken my creative juices. I experimented with two new techniques this week: 1) Blending wax based color pencil with Turpenoid and stump and 2) using 3D foam tape to pop the kitty forward - so it's Paper-crafting meets Fine art. Haha... It was so much fun to explore. I love the soft effect of the blend, which reminds me of an African Violet plant texture. I used Arches hot press cotton (my least fav watercolor stock - saunders waterford w.c. is my #1 fav - but I had scrap for this experiment).
