Get Ready For INKTOBER

"Inktober" begins tomorrow. I picked up some new supplies to inspire! At this point, I'm following the official prompt list. I plan to learn how many days of the month I can do this. Last year, I made 12 drawings.  (⋆‿⋆)

"Dandelion Dinner for Bunny" Krita Digital Painting Exploration

I'm exploring the tools in Krita, a program for digital painting. The brushes are amazing to this newbie! It's exciting! Of course the subject would be a bunny - a bunny flying into a bush of dandelion dinner. (I'm definitely going to continue to play with digital painting.)

"Listen To Your Heart" Watercolor & Digital Illustration

"Listen To Your Heart" was inspired during one of my meditations this week. It's a blend of watercolor and digital painting. In this illustration, the bunny on the meditation stool is seeking confirmation from his mentor that he is doing correctly what he was instructed. This little guy seeks serenity in such a busy world. It's so nice to have guidance.

Listen To Your Heart

I've been busy the past few days, but I was greatly inspired during my morning meditation. This image represents listening to your heart. I'm considering adding script or Uncial calligraphic hand for a final touch.

Bunny's Misfortune

In light of getting one of my online accounts hacked into and a charge to my Discover Card (two days in a row - with someone else's credit card number on day 2), I was inspired to sketch this image. (I closed my credit card account, and my online account!)

3 Color Choices for a Bunny Dress

I had a hard time deciding what color I wanted her dress to be. What do you think - grey, green, or light purple?

Dancing Dragon and her Rat Friend - Watercolor Illustration

This graphic design was inspired by happy feelings and a desire to draw another dragon. It seems this dragon is seriously evolving, as she appears slightly different each time I draw her. She could use a pedicure! :)

Dancing Dragon Color Scheme Tryout

I set up three different color schemes in GIMP to help  me decide before I lay down the paint. I like them all, almost equally! I'm gonna sit on for a day and work on other sketches I've started.

Dragon and Rat - Pencil Sketch

Playing with a dragon idea today. This is an original character I continue to evolve. I make little changes on her each time I draw her.

Elated Book Elf - Watercolor Illustration

I was invited to be a featured illustrator in Drawn - Leaders In Contemporary Illustration. The book will be out on the market in February 2018! Woohoo! In light of this experience in my life, I drew "Elated Book Elf". She's really grateful and hugging her book!

"I Break For Corgis" Watercolor Illustration

Finished! "I Break for Corgis" - We once had a corgi who chased down a rabbit in our garden - needless to say, that rabbit was a little midday snack! So in light of this memory, I imagined my bunny character very careful of corgis when they cross her path.  Thanks for viewing!

Watercolor Illustration WIP

I got a great start on this today. I have only a few things left to paint before I can add finishing touches. I had initially wanted to name it "City by the Corn Field" but now I'm rethinking it!
